Iconic Campbell’s Brand Back in the UK
Dried food specialist Symington’s has chosen Tungate to supply a range of printed laminate sachets for the major re-launch of the Campbell’s brand in the UK.
Absent from British supermarket shelves for the past few years, the iconic and much-loved Campbell’s brand made a comeback this January, through a partnership with Leeds based food manufacturer Symington's.
The company launched its first Campbell's-branded range of dry products in the UK, which are high quality, delicious and rich in flavour. The range includes instant dry soups, simmer soups, savoury rice and pasta & sauce, and features striking, contemporary branding, inspired by the traditional red and white cans so familiar with British consumers.
“Even in comparison to previous major launch undertakings, this was a serious challenge to Tungate” , David Cherrie, Symington’s Marketing Controller explained. “We had 13 skus in individual sachet formats across 3 product ranges. With artwork only being completed mid December, the timings were very tight to hit the January launch, but all was achieved with gusto and professionalism by Tungate.”
The ranges are being printed by Tungate’s renowned web offset litho process and utilises their latest barrier laminate offering which does not use the traditional ALU foil as the primary barrier layer. The end result is a pack which gives improved presentation and resilience on shelf whilst also providing improved puncture resistance.
